French romantic Sculptor of the first half of the 19th century. He made sculptures commissioned for the Fontaine des Mers.
He began his career as a landscape Painter, before becoming a Sculptor.
He committed suicide in Paris in 1849.
His parents raised him in Saint-Étienne.
He and Rena Lalique were both well known Sculptors from France.
