Hall was born in Anderson, South Carolina and raised by his single mother, a preacher. He attended Pendleton High School for his freshman and sophomore years, before transferring to South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities in Greenville. Hall went on to study drama at the Juilliard School in New York City, from which he graduated in 2015.
