Long-time bass Guitarist for the rock band REO Speedwagon who has wrote and sang lead on REO songs such as "Back on the Road Again," "Girl With the Heart of Gold," "After Tonight," and "Born to Love You," among others.
He joined REO Speedwagon in 1977 as the replacement for Gregg Philbin.
He worked on the title track of the album Lost in a Dream with former lead singer Mike Murphy.
He co-wrote the REO songs "Thru the Window" and "Accidents Can Happen" with his brother Jeffery B. Hall.
He co-wrote the Christmas carol "I Believe in Santa Claus" with Kevin Cronin.
