Austrian rock singer who rocketed to fame in 2003 after she came in second on Star Mania. Her original single "Ich Lebe" then peaked at number one on the Austrian charts where it sat for nine weeks. She has since released more than half a dozen successful albums, many of which have peaked at #1 on the Austrian charts.
She has been working in a bookshop in Linz when she auditioned for Starmania. She'd previously sang for a number of bands before reaching solo success.
Her single "Fieber" was the Austrian song for UEFA Euro 2008 when the nation hosted the soccer championship.
She is a native of Altenberg bei Linz, Austria.
