Canadian singer, Actress, and model who was the lead singer of the music group Vanity 6, with whom she had a hit single called "Nasty Girl," which was released in 1982.
She started entering local beauty pageants as a child and won the Miss Niagara Hospitality title in 1977 before moving to New York when she was nineteen.
She released an autobiography, Blame It On Vanity, in 2010.
Her mother is Polish and Jewish and her father is African American, Hawaiian, and Native American. She has a sister named Patricia.
