British television personality, engineer, and former army officer who is best known for his work in It's Not Easy Being Green, Crafty Tricks of War, Planet Mechanics, and Coast. He is also known for the show Escape to the Château.
In the year 1976, he graduated from Ballyclare High School. He enrolled at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College before going on to Sandhurst. In the year 1980, he joined the Royal Corps of Signals. He was promoted to lieutenant in April of 1981, captain in October of 1985, and he became a major in September of 1991.
He was awarded an honorary doctorate of science degree from Plymouth University in the year 2010.
He is the son of George and Jennifer Strawbridge. He has been married to Angel Strawbridge since the year 2015. He was previously married to Brigit Strawbridge Howard. They have two children named James and Charlotte Strawbridge.
