Former child Emperor who belonged to the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam. He ruled for nine years between 1907 to 1916. He was deposed and exiled after he attempted to lead a revolution against the French. He died in a plane crash on his way back to Vietnam to become Emperor once again.
He was placed into power because the bureaucracy believed that they could control a seven-year-old boy.
He once received the prestigious Médaille de la Résistance from France for challenging Ho Chi Minh/
His father was Emperor, Thành Thái, who was declared insane and exiled because of his anti-French sentiments.
