Violinist whose career was launched when he took Itzhak Perlman's place performing in a concert series with the London Symphony Orchestra.
He moved to Jerusalem with his family at the age of two and attended the Rubin Academy of Music before going to the Aspen Music School in Colorado in 1980.
He was rewarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 1990.
He married Adele Anthonya and they had three children.
He has collaborated with Isaac Stern.
