She began playing violin just before her fourth birthday and by sixteen, she had enough credits to graduate from university and signed an exclusive record deal with Sony.
She mentioned in interviews Bach was her favorite Composer and that playing his work helped her stay at her best.
She was born in Lexington, Virginia.
Her album jumped to #1 on the classical charts after she appeared on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien.
