Luxembourg-born architect who designed banks, cultural centers, hotels, and rail stations in his native country.
He studied architecture at Paris' École Spéciale d'Architecture and environmental design at Miami University in the United States. He then was employed by Services des Sites et Monuments Nationaux in Luxembourg.
He founded an architectural firm, Atelier d’Architecture et de Design Jim Clemes, in 1984.
His family lived in Luxembourg City at the time of his birth.
He and French architect Christian Portzamparc both designed important buildings in Luxembourg.
