As an actor, he has been credited in over 100 film and television shows. Attended the University of Louisville, was an All-American middle linebacker whom led the nation in tackles his junior & senior years, totaling 153 & 166 tackles, averaging a collegiate high of 15 tackles per game, 2 years back to back. He played in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. Created The Mint Jubilee, a celebrity driven charity event at the Kentucky Derby which has raised millions of dollars for cancer patients. He created this event in memory of his mother whom he lost to cancer and it was televised worldwide in over 200 million homes and 60 countries..

Matteo Martin "Matt" Battaglia (born September 25, 1965) is an American Producer, actor and former football player.

2006

Battaglia married Tina Frazier in 2006; the couple has two children.

2009

Battaglia sold 2 one hour dramas to Fox, in which the studio bought the rights to and financed the costs of the pilot script(s). The first one was Pyrates, in which he was partnered with Oscar winner Ridley Scott's production company Scott Free Productions and Producer Tony To. Bad Monkeys received a pilot and script order by Fox Studios and the script was written by Writer Jeff Eastin, most known for creating White Collar. Battaglia was also a co-executive Producer on the 2009 horror film Kill Theory, directed by Chris Moore.

In 2017, he filmed Twin Peaks with David Lynch, and Seal Team for CBS. In 2016, he recurred in seven episodes of the Tyler Perry series, Too Close To Home, playing the United States President. Battaglia guest starred in Hawaii Five-O, Night Shift and Criminal Minds. He appeared on Friends as the fireman boyfriend of Phoebe (played by Lisa Kudrow).
