Egyptian-Canadian actor cast in the title role of Disney's live-action remake of the classic Aladdin. He was previously most recognized for his roles in the TV series The 99 and Open Heart. In 2017, he was cast to play Tarek Kassar in the TV series Jack Ryan.
He attended Ryerson University where he studied theater and acting after transferring from the University of Toronto. His first role was in a season 1 episode of Nikita.
