Known for her roles on such Colombian telenovelas as Pasion de Gavilanes (as Sarita Elizondo) and La Venganza (as Sandra Guzman), she received numerous soap opera honors, including a Premio TVyNovelas Award for her antagonistic role as Isabela Montilla on the La Tormenta series.
Before pursuing an acting career, she trained as a ballet dancer; however, she was forced to give up her dream of dancing after her knee was severely injured in an automobile crash.
She received a 2003 Premio Mara de Venezuela honor for her role in La Venganza.
Her brief marriage to Victor Gomez produced a daughter named Isabel. Her second marriage, to Marcelo Greco, resulted in a second daughter, Paloma.
She and Marlene Favela were both in the cast of a telenovela titled Zorro: La Espada y la Rosa.
