He earned an associate's degree in dietetics from Madison Area Technical College in 2010.
He worked as a personal trainer and owned the fitness Business Worth Personal Training before making his reality debut.
A native of Wisconsin, he has one brother. He also has a niece and nephew.
One of his fellow Bachelorette competitors was Bryan Abasolo.
