First known as a soap opera star, she had recurring roles in Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. She would then go on to appear in Catherine, Shameless, Code Black, and numerous other shows.
A model in high school, she would go on to earn a degree in theatre arts from the University of Texas at Arlington.
In 2009, she made her feature film debut with a small role in I Love You, Man.
Her father, Frederick, was a soldier and war veteran, and her mother, Elizabeth Ann, was native to the UK.
In 2012, she joined Eddie Murphy and Kerry Washington in the comedy film A Thousand Words.
