Australian freestyle Swimmer who won gold in the 4x200 meters at the 2010 Commonwealth Games as well as the 400 meters at the 2013 Universiade. His second place finish at the 2012 Australian Swimming Championships earned him a spot on Team Australia at the Summer Olympics that year.
He was born in Sydney, New South Wales and struggled with asthma as a child. He began pursuing swimming at age 7.
He has served as an ambassador for Sunshine Butterflies, a charitable organization designed to provide funds and awareness for children with disabilities.
He has an older sister named Chloe.
He and Ian Thorpe both swam for Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
