Former part-time model turned motivational speaker and humanitarian whose life changed dramatically when a brush fire burned 65% of her body while she was running an ultra-marathon in Western Australia. She completed her first Ironman competition in May of 2016.
She competed in Miss Earth Australia in 2007.
She was named the 2014 New South Wales Premier's Woman of the Year, and was a finalist for Young Australian of the Year. As a humanitarian, she's raised more than a million dollars for Interplast.
She got engaged to long-time partner Michael Hoskin, whom she's been with since 2009. They welcomed a baby named Hakavai in December 2017. Her nationality is Australian and she was born in Tahiti, French Polynesia.
She and Jessica Watson are both recipients of Young Australian of the Year honors.
