Singer best known for being a finalist on season 14 of FOX's hit reality singing competition series American Idol.
She was homeless for months with her family and took residence in a local pastor church. She was 5 years old when she began singing with the choir as voice major in Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
She and her mother flew to the San Francisco auditions after earning enough money for the airfare.
