Korean ballet Dancer who's performed internationally. She first rose to fame after gaining the title of Prima Ballerina in the Korean National Ballet and performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy in their 2001 production of The Nutcracker.
She was granted admission to the School of American ballet in 1998.
She and her family starred in the Korean television show Superman Returns, but left the show because they didn't want their daughter exposed to the 24-hour a day filming cycle.
She married actor Uhm Tae-woong and they have one daughter Dae Ji On.
Singer and actress Uhm Jung-hwa is her sister-in-law.
