French-born Moroccan professional footballer who is known for his work as an attacking midfielder for the Galatasaray club. He is also known for his work as a midfielder on Morocco's national team as well.
His youth career first began in 1997 when he trained and played for the RC Aramonais club. He joined Montpellier's B team in 2003 and was moved up to their first team in 2009. He played a season with France's Under 20 national team in 2010 before moving to Morocco's national team the following season.
He has earned several individual honors for his playing including the Marc-Vivien Foe Award in 2012 as well as Goal of the Year for his shot against Marseille during the 2011 season and Young Player of the Year during the same season.
He was born and raised in Avignon, France.
He played alongside Hakim Ziyech in the 2018 World Cup as part of Morocco's national team.
