Model turned Actress best recognized for her role as Claire Randall in the television series Outlander. She has also had roles in the films Money Monster, Escape Plan and Now You See Me.
Before beginning her modeling career at the age of nineteen, she studied acting at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
During her ten-year international modeling career, she did runway and print work for prominent fashion labels such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and Armani.
She was born in Dublin, Ireland the fourth of five kids. Her parents also raised two foster kids. She revealed her engagement to boyfriend Tony McGill in January 2018.
She and Sam Heughan were both part of the main cast of Outlander.
