He came from a wrestling family the son of Carlos Colon Sr, whom first introduced him to the sport. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1999.
He became a 13-time Universal Heavyweight Champion for World Wrestling Council.
He was born Carlos Edwin Coates Colon Jr. in San Juan, Puerto Rico with three siblings. His brothers, Eddie and Stacy, also performed in the WWE.
He defeated Salvador Guerrero in an untelevised match at Wrestlmania 23.
