He began to teach himself to play the piano when he was 10 years old after being inspired by The Lion King Soundtrack. He attended the University of California, Riverside and worked as a math tutor.
He released a couple of albums and performed various shows before he was presented with the opportunity to help create Playground Sessions, a piano learning software, in 2009.
He was born in Camarillo, California.
He also gained a following thanks to his work with Quincy Jones on Playground Sessions.
