Catcher who began his major league career as a member of the Cincinnati Reds in 2011. He made his first National League All-Star team in 2014.
He won the PIAA Class AAA State Championship with Punxsutawney Area High School.
He was named as the Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year in 2007.
His parents are Laura and Doug Mesoraco.
He and former shortstop Barry Larkin were both first-round picks of the Cincinnati Reds.
