Aviator and Screenwriter who won numerous awards throughout his life and career, including the Aviation Journalist of the Year by Flying and Commercial Aviation (1975).
He honed his craft while studying at Yale University's School of Drama.
In addition to his many accolades and achievements, he was awarded the Honorary H.H.D. by The University of California in 1979.
He had three children: George, Polly, and Steven.
