Retired NBA point guard who became known for his passing and steals over the course of his 11-year career. His best years were spent with the Denver Nuggets, where he was a two-time All-Star and set a franchise records for steals.
He played college hoops at Arizona State University and was drafted 11th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 1982.
Since retiring, he's worked as a commentator and Director of player development for the Sacramento Kings. He recorded 43 regular season triple-doubles in his career, 15 more than Michael Jordan.
His son, Anthony Pedroza, was born in 1979 and played basketball for the Mexican national team.
He became the second player in NBA history to record 15 or more points, rebounds, and assists in a playoff game, following Wilt Chamberlain. Jason Kidd later accomplished the feat as well.
