Hollywood movie star who starred in the Alfred Hitchcock films Dial M for Murder, Rear Window and To Catch a Thief. She also played a supporting role in the 1952 Western High Noon.
She danced and acted in high school productions.
She made her big screen debut in the 1951 film Fourteen Hours.
She married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in April of 1956 and became the Princess of Monaco. She had two daughters, Caroline, Princess of Hanover and Princess Stephanie of Monaco, and a son, Albert II, Prince of Monaco.
She starred in the film Mogambo with Clark Gable.
