(ADM), purchased WILD Flavors for around $3 billion in cash. Hans Peter Wild owned the business along with investor group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), which acquired a 35% stake in 2010. Wild's father founded the company in 1931 to provide food and beverage companies with fruit juice concentrates and blends. As a student studying business administration and law, Hans Peter Wild travelled abroad in search of innovative alternative sources of raw materials for the family business. After graduation, he gained managerial experience working for a marketer of mineral oil and chemicals. Joining his father's company in 1974, he expanded the portfolio. WILD became one of the world's leading suppliers of flavors and extracts, colors from natural sources, sweetening systems, seasonings and fermentation technologies. Hans Peter's biggest marketing coup was signing Muhammed Ali, then at the peak of his boxing career, as an advertising spokesman for Capri Sun, a fruit juice drink developed in the 1960s. "I am the greatest. The whole world knows it. But the day I stop boxing, Capri Sun will be greatest," proclaimed Ali. Today, Capri Sun is consumed in more than 100 countries and generates estimated annual sales of $400 million. The brand is owned by by Hans-Peter Wild's Capri-Sun AG, based in Zug, Switzerland, whose assets also include INDAG, which develops and manages processing units as well as machines for the food and beverage industries. Through the Leonie Wild Charitable Foundation, which he established with his mother in 1997, Wild is an active philanthropist in the Eppelheim and Rhine-Neckar region of Germany, helping citizens in need as well as supporting social and cultural projects. Wild donated $16 million to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation in 2016.

1941

Hans-Peter Wild was born in Heidelberg in 1941, the son of Rudolf Wild, who founded the Wild company in 1931. He passed the first state examination as a Lawyer in Heidelberg with distinction. He completed a degree in Business studies in Mannheim, majoring in fiscal law and auditing. He completed a PhD entitled "The market-dominating company under French law" at the Faculty of Law at the University of Mannheim. After graduation, he worked at the Diersch & Schröder group of companies for four years as managing Director, being responsible for the company's mineral oil, chemistry and shipping activities. In 1974, he joined his parents' company - with the aim of expanding the world markets with Capri Sun and taking the company global.

1996

2001

He donated a professorship to the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne. In the end of 2001 the IMD Lombard Odier Business Center was extended by the Wild Group Chair for Family Business.

2006

Wild is President of the "Leonie Wild Charitable Foundation", which he initiated together with his mother Leonie Wild in 1997. The trust helps citizens in need and is involved in social and cultural projects, particularly in Eppelheim and in the Heidelberg region. In addition to its support for the construction of the new Heidelberg Children's Hospital, it has also been supporting the "Ballschule" ball-sports academy at the University of Heidelberg since 2001. The Ballschule provides supplementary Sports classes for children in the first and second grade (source: Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung, June 22, 2006). Wild also assists the University of Heidelberg through donations, thus continuing the tradition started by his Father Rudolf Wild.

2007

In October 2007, Wild was instrumental in the formation of the Wild Rugby Academy, an institution aimed at developing the sport of rugby union in Germany.

2017

In May 2017, he became chairman of the French rugby union club Stade Français.
