Known for his prolific magic career, which has consisted of his development of over 700 original routines. In 2012, fellow magicians Andi Gladwin and Joshua Jay compiled all of his works into a trilogy, which came to be called The Definitive Sankey Volumes 1-3.
He graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in philosophy, film, and psychology. Prior to his time there, he had traveled the world teaching the art of sleight of hand magic to both amateur and professional magicians.
In 1999, he published the book Zen and the Art of Stand-up Comedy. He hosted the stand-up based children's TV series Spellz for two seasons.
He and his wife Lisa have two children, Mason and Madelaine, together.
He has served as a consultant to world-renowned magicians, such as Criss Angel and David Copperfield.
