Known also as Sheikh Mansour, he is the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, minister of presidential affairs, and member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi.
In 1997, he was appointed chairman of the presidential office, which his father Zayed II was the first and by-then President of UAE. He was then appointed chairman of the ministerial council for services, which is considered a ministerial entity attached to the Cabinet and this further launched his political career.
In addition to his work in politics, he is an accomplished horse rider as well and has won numerous endurance races held in the Middle East.
He is the half brother of the current President of UAE, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He has two wives and six children.
As a partial owner who has a high stake in the company Virgin Galactic, he can be seen in relation to fellow owner of the company Richard Branson.
