Puerto Rican-born screen actor who appeared in such television series as The Wire and Day Break. He also starred in the films The Taking of Pelham 123 and Need for Speed from 2014.
He played basketball at Wheeling Jesuit University and later received his undergraduate degree in Sports management from New York University.
He has played supporting roles in the films Carlito's Way: Rise to Power, Bella, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Battle: Los Angeles.
He was born in Puerto Rico and was raised by his mother in a Manhattan, New York, apartment. He grew up with three sisters and three brothers.
He and Actress Claire Danes were classmates at the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies.
