Hurling centre-forward known for his time with the Kilkenny inter-county team, with whom he spent more than a decade and won eight All-Irelands.
He was a talented Hurler at St. Kieran's College and started playing for the Kilkenny minor team when he was 15.
While not hurling, he's worked as a sales rep. A two-time All-Star, he retired from inter-country hurling in 2016.
His father, Richie Sr., and brother, John, have both hurled for Kilkenny.
He and Paul Murphy were teammates on Kilkenny.
