Most well known for bringing life to Tatsuya Sakuragi in the 2012 series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou and the show's subsequent spinoff film of the same name. He is also recognized for portraying Kunio Murai on Fuji TV's Great Teacher Onizuka.
His acting career began in 2007 when he scored a supporting role alongside his brother on the series Juken no Kamisama.
Outside of acting, he is also a Korean idol, performing as a member of the 6TONES.
His older brother, Ryutaro, is a renowned pop singer and a former member of Hey! Say! JUMP. He also has a younger sister.
Both he and Toma Ikuta are Japanese stars under Johnny & Associates management.
