English author and Illustrator who wrote over fifty books during the course of her career. She has also illustrated more than two hundred books.
She attended the Liverpool School of Art and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art.
She won the Kate Greenaway Award for illustration in 1977 and again in 2003.
