The first Peruvian Surfer to win an event on the Association of Surfing Professionals World Championship Tour.
She began surfing at the age of nine and was sponsored by Billabong Peru by thirteen.
She won three out of the six World Championship Tour events in 2004 and was the first South American ever to win a world title in surfing.
Her parents are Croatian immigrants to Peru.
She is a popular female Surfer like Sanoe Lake.
