German professional cosplayer who goes by Kamui Cosplay and is known for her armor projects from World of Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft. She has released nearly a dozen tutorial books like The Book of Cosplay Armor Making and The Book of Prop Making. She sells patterns on her website, and runs a Youtube channel where she uploads videos of her costume creations and DIY tutorials. In 2013 she won the Grand Prize at Blizzcon.
Before Fame
She studied technical journalism in university, but upon graduation she was commissioned by Intel and Newegg to create two costumes for their booth at 2013 Blizzcon. Since then, she has consistently worked as a costume and prop maker.
Trivia
She started making costumes in 2003 with her first cosplay character Saiyaman from Dragonball Z, but she garnered attention as a cosplayer when she won Blizzard's first European costume contest in 2009.
Family Life
Kamui is technically a cosplayer team - her husband Benjamin Schwarz is the other half, helping her to make the costumes.
