Nicknamed USA, he gained fame as a founding member of the group Exile and J Soul Brothers. He has also gone on to perform with Rather Unique and Dance Earth Party.
In 1994, he co-founded the dance group Baby Nail with his Future Exile and J Soul Brothers members Makidai and Toshio Matsumoto.
In 2006, he made his acting debut in the stage play The Mensetsu. He later appeared in the 2010 film Kyoto Story.
He hails from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Some of his fellow former Exile members include Makidai and Hiroyuki Igarashi.
