Otherwise known as Kashiyuka, she is one third of the long-running girl band Perfume. The award-winning group has released several hit records since their debut in 2002, most of which topped out at #1 on the Japanese chart.
She and bandmate Ayaka Nishiwaki formed Perfume in 2001 with former member Yūka Kawashima. When Kawashima left the band to focus on her studies, Nishiwaki introduced Kashino to Ayano Ōmoto.
The 2012 Perfume compilation album Love the World peaked at #1 on the Japanese charts after it was released.
She was raised in Hiroshima with her parents and brother.
She is close friends with fellow Japanese singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
