Eldest brother of Brent, Brice, and Lexi Rivera who began playing hockey for Long Beach State University in 2014. He earned Player of the Month honors at the school as a freshman.
He competed for a national championship with his Jr. Ducks hockey team.
He decided to play hockey at LBSU in order to be close to home.
