Glass and furniture designer who created the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. Many of his landscapes, gardens, and buildings can be found in the Veneto, but also in Italy, Canada, the United States, Saudi Arabia, France, and Switzerland.
He was an apprentice to Architect Francesco Rinaldo after graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts. He was not allowed to practice architecture independently because he refused to take the professional exam required by the post-World War II Italian government.
He designed several notable museums, finding inspiration in Venetian history as well as Japanese culture.
His mother died when he was only 13. He married Nina Lazzari, niece of Francesco Rinaldo. His son, Tobia, helped alter the Villa Palazzetto in Monselice, the project his father didn't have a chance to complete before his death.
His native Italy was known for its artistic legacy, exemplified best by Leonardo da Vinci and the age of the Italian Renaissance.
