Venezuelan singer who became a sensation the world of Latin pop with albums like 1999's Yo Naci Para Querer and 2004's Peligroso. He is also popular as a television host, having hosted shows like Gala Miss Espana and Gala Fin de Ano de TVE1.
He was born in Caracas, Venezuela and joined the band Los Chamos at age 13. He later worked as a model before releasing his first solo album, Origenes I, in 1994.
During the Venezuelan riots of March 2014, he made a music video for the song ,"Que Tu Voz Sea Mi Voz" in which he painted his face with the Venezuelan flag.
His birth name is Carlos Roberto Baute Jimenez. He married model Astrid Klisans in 2012.
In 2012, he sang a duet with singer Laura Pausini titled "Las Cosas Que No Me Espero."
