Smooth jazz Guitarist who performed with Stan Getz and the jazz fusion band Metro.
He began playing in Stan Getz's group in 1979 before moving on to pursue a solo career.
He was in the jazz fusion group Steps Ahead.
He married vocalist Carmen Cuesta. Their two daughters are vocalists.
He replaced Larry Carlton in Fourplay in 2012.
