Gaelic football full forward known for his years with Mayo, with whom he won the Connacht Championship five straight years from 2011 to 2015. He was named to the All Star Gaelic Football Team for the first time in 2014.
He was born in Castlebar, Ireland and made his club debut with Ballintubber in 2009.
He won the All Stars Young Footballer of the Year award in back-to-back years in 2011 and 2012.
He has played alongside his brother, Diarmuid O'Connor, at Mayo.
He and Ciaran McDonald have both played for Mayo.
