Known for his roles as Neil Barash, Joel Goodman, and Dr. John Morgan on the respective television series Flying Blind, Blue Skies, and Love Boat: The Next Wave, Parker is also notable for his appearances in the films Friday the 13th: A New Beginning and Biloxi Blues.
After graduating from New York City's High School of Performing Arts, he performed with the Ensemble Studio Theatre and became a member of the famed Actors Studio.
In the early years of the 21st century, he settled in Memphis, Tennessee.
After his marriage to Linda Kerridge ended in divorce in 1992, he married Angela Parker.
As a young man, he trained with the renowned acting coach Uta Hagen.
