Decathlete who competed in and won the Commonwealth Games once and earned two World Championship medals during his 1995-2008 career. He also finished in fourth at both the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games in the event.
He began his career in athletics in various track and field events. He later competed in Arsenal's youth soccer program, but eventually stopped to train for the World Junior Championships for decathlon in 1995.
In April 2011, he set the Qualifier record for fastest time on the popular British reality show Total Wipeout. He has hosted his own show On Coarse on the Discovery Channel UK.
He is married, and his wife's name is Lisa.
He competed against fellow Decathlete Bryan Clay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
