Initially famous for her Young Artist Award-winning performance in the children's television series The Worst Witch, she reprised her role as Mildred Hubble in the series' early 2000s sequel, Weirdsister College.
After graduating from England's Wimbledon High School, she matriculated at Princeton University in New Jersey, U.S.A.
While studying at Princeton, she directed a 2006 stage production of Shakespeare's Love's Labours Lost.
Born Ann Georgina Sherrington, she grew up in London, England, with a younger brother.
She was cast alongside Jillian Murray in the 2015 horror film Welcome to Purgatory and in its 2016 sequel Welcome to Purgatory II: The Journey to Hell.
