Otherwise known as Kogyeol, he made his rise to fame as a lead vocalist in the K-pop boy band UP10TION. The group debuted in 2015 on Masked Rookie King and would go on to release half a dozen successful EPs.
He was the fifth member to join UP10TION.
He lent his voice to the 2017 single "Leave Me Alone" with several of his bandmates on the Telemonster original Soundtrack.
He has one older sister.
On the UP10TION show, he shared a room with his fellow bandmate No Soo-il.
