Actor who appeared in TV's Spartacus: Blood and Sand, as well as in the films Jack Reacher and A Good Day to Die Hard. In 2014, he appeared in Divergent, Unbroken, The Water Diviner and I, Frankenstein. He was cast as Captain Boomerang in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
He studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
His television credits include roles on Packed to the Rafters and All Saints.
He and his sister were born to Karen, a Teacher, and Chris Courtney, an electricity company employee. They grew up in a suburb of Sydney, Australia. He was in a relationship with actress Gemma Pranita from 2006 until 2013.
He co-starred with Bruce Willis in the feature film A Good Day to Die Hard.
