Academy Award-winning British film Director who received acclaim for his documentary Man on Wire in 2008. He also directed the documentary Project Nim in 2010.
He started his career directing documentaries for BBC including the television documentary Troubleman - The Last Years of Marvin Gaye.
He studied at St. Catherine's College in Oxford.
His family comes from Truro, Cornwall.
He directed the 2012 film Shadow Dancer, starring Clive Owen.
