Dominant Polish cross country skier who became a multiple-time Olympic and World Champion. She received the Polish Sportspersonality of the Year five consecutive years from 2009 to 2013.
She played handball and volleyball as a child. She received ski training from Polish national team coach Aleksander Wierietielny.
She is the first skier to have won the Tour de Ski four straight years and set the all-time record for wins at the event.
She has siblings named Ilona, Violetta and Tomasz.
She and ski jumper Kamil Stoch are both recipients of the Polish Sportspersonality of the Year award.
